Do you exercise whilst on holiday?

Now I get this question a lot from clients and friends and my answer is always the same.

Ultimately it comes down to what your training goals are and what type of holiday you’re on.

I’m no stranger to a bar, night/beach club for a holiday activity, but this holiday I needed some recovery time after the 2 months of 14 hour days setting up the new studio and barely managing to hit the gym myself throughout that time.

So I went away with my fitness friend @alicefitnesswithsoul for a wellness style holiday. We ate well, trained everyday, kept active, had massages, relaxed in the sun and got to bed by 9pm every night.

It. Was. Heaven.

On my next holiday I might eat my body weight in ice cream and stay out until 3am - who knows.

Moral of the story is - do what you need to do for your mental and physical health. Sometimes that’s dancing until 4am, sometimes it’s being in the gym by 8am. You do you.

Holiday’s are only a small portion of time across the year. What’s the worst that could happen?
